Coaching at the YMCA: Do More, Be More

At the Y, we believe when people come together for a common cause, the whole community is strengthened. When you become a volunteer, you have the opportunity to share your talents, strengths & gifts to support & encourage those who need it most.

Volunteer coaching is a powerful opportunity to instill positive values & help kids develop healthy habits that extend far beyond the playing field. Our coaches provide a safe, healthy atmosphere, teach fundamentals of the game & promote the benefits of physical activity & teamwork.

As a volunteer coach, you become part of the Y family & build a sense of community & spirit in your team for life. Prior experience is helpful, but the only requirement is to lead youth as their mentor & hero. When you help children, you make a difference in their lives… & yours.
