FULL TIME KINDERGARTEN READINESS PRESCHOOL: AGES 4-5 YEARS

Kindergarten Readiness Preschool is intended to build on the skills your child learned in the 3-4 preschool program and helps your child build a foundation for school readiness. Your child will have daily structured gym experiences and a weekly swimming lesson (September-May).  This program uses Get Set for School curriculum, which develops early writing, literacy and math skills.

This center is a community partner-based center.  Employees of Basin Electric Power Cooperative, CHI St. Alexius health and Sanford Health may contact their HR departments to inquire about partner-based spots for infant-toddler care and preschool program availability.  Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness programs are available to the community.  Call the YDC North Site Director for availability.

6:30-9:30       Welcomes, center play and breakfast

9:30-10:30     Activity time including teacher directed activities, Get Set for School Curriculum, music, swimming lessons, literacy activities, center activities including math and science activities

10:30-11:30   Large motor activities including gym time and outdoors

11:30-12:30   Circle time, lunch

12:30-1:30     Story time, rest

1:30-2:30       Activity time including center play, letter and number recognition activities, swimming lessons

2:30-3:30       Snack, circle time

3:30-4:30       Outdoors and teacher directed activities

4:30-6:00       Large group time and center play

6:00               Centers close
