MSTRONG!
This is a specialty wellness program designed specifically to improve the health & fitness of people living with Multiple Sclerosis. This program is FREE to the community & Y members diagnosed with MS. Classes are offered at various times of the week. Please fill out our survey if you are living with MS, we'd love your input on or program offering.
The mission of the MStrong! program is:
- To improve the quality of life of people living with Multiple Sclerosis & their caregivers.
- To educate patients, caregivers & the general public about the benefits of maintaining an active lifestyle after an MS diagnosis.
- To support research dedicated to the prevention & treatment of MS.
Program requirements (prior to participation) are:
- A strong personal desire - the first step is enrolling in the program.
- The ability to safely & independently (or with a support person) navigate the facility & equipment.
- Be able to comprehend & execute basic verbal &/or visual cues.
- To have awareness of their physical limits.
- To be prepared to work hard toward improving overall wellness.
- To be ready to feel stronger & have fun doing it!
