Parking Parking Parking
The enhancements for the east parking lot began this past fall as we completed phase 1, which included a new
revised access from Washington Street into the YMCA/VFW parking lot. Plans are underway to complete phase
2 of our existing parking lot project, which you can see in the picture (shaded in yellow). The parking lot master
plan is scheduled to be completed this fall. Once completed, access, and the routing and flow of traffic through the
east parking lot will be improved. Please be patient as we all get acclimated to the improvements to our parking lot.
Remember, there is additional parking available in the Good Shephard Church Parking Lot.

Our members love the YMCA and it shows! We typically see our highest usage numbers in January and February each year, & this year is no exception. During the winter months, we will see in excess of 60,000 visits to the YMCA. To help you plan your visits to the YMCA, we have but together a chart to graphically depict daily usage. If your schedule is flexible, you may want to make use of morning, early afternoon, and evenings after 7:00pm. You will find it much easier to access the Y and use the Life Center. We have also posted parking alerts on your website. This is our way of notifying you when we expect the greatest parking activity due to YMCA programs/usage/events and activities at the All Seasons Arena.

Junior Kindergarten 2010-2011 Registration
Registration for the 2010-2011 school year will begin Monday, February 8 at 10 am in the Youth Development Center.
Session options for children ages 3-5:
M-W-F, 8:30-11:30 am
M-W-F, 12:15-3:15 pm
Session for children ages 4-5:
T-Th, 8:30-3:15 pm.

Attention Parents-

We have implemented a new process for our online registration….you will now have to have your email address registered with the YMCA in order to utilize online registration. Log onto to www.bismarckymca.org, click on the online registration button and you can complete this process before the next swim lesson registration on February 15th.
 
Free Fitness Testing
Rescheduled to Monday Feb 15th, 4pm to 8pm
The Life Center fitness team will be conducting free fitness evaluations each month for our members. This is a great opportunity for anyone to see how fit they are in terms of their overall health and fitness (strength, flexibility, body composition, blood pressure, aerobic health). Each person will be walked through seven specific tests and then have a one on one evaluation with a personal trainer. There is no appointment necessary and each test/eval lasts approx 30 minutes. The next free testing day is scheduled February 1th, 4:00pm-8:00pm.  Please refer to our program guide for future dates and times. If you have questions on the free fitness testing and evaluations, contact Sam Morton, Wellness Director, 255-1525.
