Missouri Valley Family YMCA

  • BISMARCK MARATHON

    Introduced in 1981 by the Missouri Valley YMCA, Bismarck’s marathon has evolved into one of the state’s premiere running events. With breathtaking scenery along the out-and-back course that parallels the Missouri River, runners are treated to a fast, flat course that promises experienced runners new PR opportunities and novices a great race experience. What’s more, the course is USATF certified, meaning marathoners hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon may do so here.

  • SUMMER Y REC PROGRAM

    Y Rec is a no cost program run by Y staff providing organized games and activities for youth ages 8-12. Summer activities include field trips to the softball diamonds, Grimsud Elementary School, and walks around Tom O’Leary Trail.

    Y Rec is a free for all youth ages 8-12 with a regular Y membership or the Free Youth Recreation Pass. Please visit our Member Service Desk for details.

    Summer Y Rec funs June 3rd – August 16th. Hours are Monday – Friday, 12:30-5:30pm.

View Weekly Pool Schedule

*OL: Open Lanes are lanes not in use by the class. They are available to those over 13 years of age that want to Swim laps or exercise in the lane. Children 10-12 years old may swim laps with a parent.

Family Swim: Anyone under 18 must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian. Parent or guardian must be in the water.

Open Swim: Any child that cannot touch the bottom in the shallow end, cannot swim or wears a buble must be directly supervised by a responsible person who is 16 years or older. This person must stay with the child in the shallow end at all times. All children must be accompanied by an adult who is in the water.
