About the Y

Your Y gives back to the Bismarck/Mandan community every day through programs that support youth development, promote healthy living, and foster social responsibility. In 2010/2011 your Y gave over $360,500 in scholarships to over 3,042 deserving children, individuals, and families from around the community.

Our Strong Kids Campaign is our annual campaign to raise funds to subsidize five main programs and services to those who cannot otherwise afford them.

• SPLASH –free swim lessons and water safety classes for all second graders in the community.
• Y REC MEMBERSHIP – a free membership for all K-6 grade students for access to the Y.
• CHILD CARE – provides financial assistance to families who cannot afford childcare.
• MEMBERSHIP – Scholarships for developing the mind, body and spirit.
• SUMMER DAY CAMP – Provides a week of camp for underprivileged children.
